Prices
As a guide, my fees for proofreading start from £6 per thousand words for basic grammar / error checking. If more in-depth editing is required, such as rephrasing sentences to improve the clarity, the fee does increase (to a maximum of £9 per thousand words).
I usually ask for payment before I start a piece of work. For longer projects, such as PhD theses, I can accept the payment in instalments. Payment can be made either by bank transfer or via Paypal.
Please send me a sample of your writing if you would like a quote. I am always happy to proofread 500 words (free of charge) so that you can see my work before deciding whether to use my service.
